  A former PDP house of Assembly Candidate in 2019 General Election And A Frontline Politician in Edo State, Mallam Dada Abubakar has congratulated the Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, his Deputy, Comrade Philip Shuabu and the people’s Democratic Party, PDP over victory at the Supreme Court. Abubakar who described Obaseki’s victory as resounding also urged them to work for the benefit of Edo people. The Supreme Court on Friday struck out the appeal filed by the All Progressive Congress, APC over Alleged fake documents submitted to INEC during September 19, 2020 governorship election, which returned Godwin Obaseki of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as Governor of Edo State, for lacking in merit.   A young Nigerian lady has been badly brutalized by a group of young men for allegedly beating her boyfriend. In a video going viral on the social media, the lady could be heard crying for help as the men stripped her naked and beat her severely with wips. The unfortunate aspect of the whole thing is that her womanhood was not respected, beating her while naked and forced her to open her body. A voice could be heard from background saying, “you dey beat your boyfriend, pour am water" while she cried and begged for mercy. The issue of domestic violence against women in our society today have gone rampant as rape, acid attacks, molestation, wife beating, and corporal punishment are on the rise. See Video Below:

Road User Kills Policeman While Trying To Escape From LATSMA Officials {Video}

The Continuous struggle between roads users and law enforcement agencies on major roads has created more chaotic scenes than any other accidental deaths and injuries. One of such scene was recorded in a video that went viral on social media, Showing a defiant road user refusing to submit himself for arrest after being waved down by officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), alongside men of the Nigerian Police Force. Breaking: Former Governor Of Imo State, Sen. Rochas Okorocha Arrested for Vandalising State Properties {Photos}

Imo state government has arrested Ex-governor, Rochas Okorocha,for leading a group of thugs to vandalize and destroy security vehicles and properties of the state government in retaliation to the news that one of his properties have been sealed. In a video that went viral on social media, Okorocha was seen handcuffed alongside one of his accomplice while being led to the state's criminal investigation department for further interrogation. Our source gathered that the senator led  some groups of armed thugs to break into the property of the state government, destroying security vehicles and other valuables in retaliation to the sealing of his Royal spring Palm Apartment by the government. Th e chairman of Imo state traditional institution & culture,His Royal Majesty Eze Dr.Emma Okeke,Eze Udo 11, has ordered all traditional rulers within Orlu zone to look into the crisis that engulfed Orlu zone of late which led the Eastern Security Network(ESN) and men of the Nigerian army into confrontation with each other and this will help to avert any future reprisal attacks and restore tranquility to the communities. A popular male and female preacher, who reportedly went separately to share the word of God at the Ikeja bus stop in Lagos state Nigeria, threw caution to the wind as they fought for a preaching spot in the area. In a video that has since gone viral on the social media, the man was firing hot ”prayers” against the female preacher while the female preacher was seen charging at the male preacher and hurling abuses on him. Nigerian Lady Cries Out On Twitter After She Was Physically Assaulted By Her Boss {Photos}

A Nigerian lady took to Twitter to narrate how she was physically assaulted by her boss while accusing him of exploiting her.  The lady with the username @Onyinye, said she worked as a digital marketer, content creator, social media handler and a graphics designer.  She also claimed that she was also a food buyer, office cleaner and a plate washer which was not part of her job description. Narrating how the altercation started, Onyinye said her boss got in to his office by 3pm and went straight in to his office because he had visitors.  She claimed she usually asked him if he wanted her to order food for him but failed to asked him because she assumed that he eat from where he was coming from.  Later around 4pm, Onyinye claimed her boss asked her to go and buy food for him and she agreed, even though it was already time for her to go back home.  According to her, she went to buy the food but on getting there, she forgot that she didn’t ask her boss for his card ...

We Can’t Access Essential Commodities For Survival”-Legal Practitioner Cries Out From Orlu’s Bondage (Video)

A legal practitioner, and Orlu community resident, Barrister Kingsley Ogbonna has cried out against what he describes as “unconstitutional and inhuman” treatment of residents of Orlu community by the military men saddled with the responsibilities of ensuring compliance to the state’s curfew order. Kingsley Ogbonna while narrating the situation of things in Orlu, said that the military men no longer follow the 6am-6pm curfew as illustrated by the state government, but have instead made the curfew a 24hour thing, restricting movements and denying residence access to essential needs in the process. Tragedy: A 65-Years-Old Man Allegedly kills His Wife, Son And Himself In Anambra {Photos}

A 65 years old hunter, know as, UNweke, has allegedly killed himself, his wife, and their son in the Amunike community of Anambra state on Thursday January 28.   A statement by the spokesperson of the state police command, Mohammed Haruna, says the police received a report from the chairman of the vigilante group in Amunike community in Awka North LGA of Anambra State that at about 3am today, the hunter allegedly shot his 55 years old wife Patricia Nweke with a single barrel gun and also burnt his house along with his 29 years old son named Obinna Nweke in circumstances yet to be ascertained. Haruna added that the hunter equally shot himself using the same gun.   The police spokesperson said police detectives attached to Achalla police station visited the scene and rushed the victims to Uche hospital Isuanocha where they were confirmed dead on arrival.  See Photos below:

A Nigerian Footballer Chikelu Ofoedu Confronts An Army Officer Who Slapped Him During A Road Rage Incident {video}

A Nigerian footballer Chikelu Ofoedu was filmed confronting a soldier man  who slapped him on the road.   The footballer, who plays for Maccabi Tel Aviv, explained in the video shared online that the soldier, identified simply as Nasiru, had taken "one-way" yet refused to accept he was in the wrong and he slapped him rather than admit his error.   He's seen asking the soldier why he slapped him and refused to let the soldier drive off.   On his part, the soldier came out of his car with a machete then charged at Chikelu with it.   A female soldier tried to hold the male soldier back but he dismissed her and continued threatening Chikelu.     A friend of Chikelu's is also seen asking Nasiru why he slapped the footballer and the soldier threatened to slap him too.   Despite efforts from other soldiers to talk to Nasiru, he refused to calm down and apologize to Chikelu. Breaking:Valuables Destroyed As Tanker Crashes Into Building At Nnewi Market(Video)

A Tanker carrying cooking gas accidentally crashed into buildings in Nkwo Nnewi Market, Anambra state, leading to a fire outbreak that has engulfed many structures and destroyed countless of properties in its wake. According to the videos making rounds on social media, the accident was said to have occurred on Friday evening, when a tanker carrying gas cylinders crashed into a building near the market place setting some parts of the market on fire In the process. As at the time of this report, efforts are still being made by locals of the community to curb the further spread of the fire while they await firefighters. Although, no lives were reportedly lost, countless of valuable properties including shops and houses were said to have been destroyed in the outbreak. See Video Below:

Pandemonium Ensues As Military Storms Oru Local Government In Search of ESN Members{Video}

The Nigerian military have reportedly stormed Oru East Local Government in Imo state, in search of members of the Eastern Security Network(ESN)who allegedly killed three military men during an heated exchange last week. According to an eyewitness who escaped from one of the barricaded communities, there has been a heavy military presence in Orie Okporo market, Ura-akata,Isiakata,Umutanze and other neighboring communities since Wednesday. Breaking: Police Van Kills Mother, Child During Heated Pursuit of Yahoo Boys in Warri {Videos}

Following the viral reports that policemen on stop and search duty killed a mother and her child after running into a tricycle conveying them, a prime suspect in his confessional statement has absolved the police officers of causing their deaths. Identified as Temitope, the suspect narrated that he was on his way to drop his child at the hospital when the police stopped him. According to him, the policeman that stopped him continued stopping other vehicles when another one cleared him to go. We Do Not Need A National Lockdown Now – Prof Ihonvbere

Chairman of the House Committee on Basic Education and Services, Prof Julius Ihonvbere, says he does not think Nigeria needs a national lockdown at this moment.  Professor Ihonvbere who was a guest on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics stated that the government must ensure that Nigerians begin to take the fight against COVID-19 more seriously. “I do not think we need a national lockdown now, I think what we need now, in the first instance is serious controls,” Prof Ihonvbere. He said the government is not engaging in a serious public enlightenment campaign and as such, the people are not taking the COVID-19 pandemic seriously. A Chief  in Amiri Village, in Oru-East Local Government Area of Imo State, Ifeanyi Ekeukwu, has reportedly resurrected 24 hours after he was certified dead and placed in the mortuary. Ekeukwu, better known as Anyiego na Amiri, died on Friday, January 15, and woke up on Saturday, January 16, 2021. While a good number of prominent Nigerians have declared their membership of a trending group known as Stingy Men Association of Nigeria (SMAN), some others have regarded the whole idea with disdain. One outspoken former Nigerian senator who has reacted to the establishment of the group is Shehu Sani.
