Dj Switch mourns Lekki massacre victims, two months after
Obianuju Catherine Udeh, known as Dj Switch in the music industry, is not happy that two months after the Lekki massacre, justice has not yet being done. In a late Sunday tweet, the celebrity Dj, who claimed to be at spot of the massacre two months ago, sounded very unhappy.
"Today marks 2 months since #LekkiMassacre no answers,no charges & no arrests! A government that is quick to impose laws that further enslave us rather than elevate us. #endsars #EndBadGoveranceInNigeria" Switch cried out.
On October 20 this year, peaceful protesters who had occupied the Lekki tollgate in order to drive home their demands for a better Nigeria, were reportedly shot at by military officers.
Ever since the ugly incident, both the Lagos State government and the military, have been involved in blame games regarding the shooting. The Lagos State government at first claimed not be aware of the military intervention in Lekki, but when the military voiced out to say the Lagos State government actually invited them, the story became complicated.
However, the judicial panel set up to look into the incident by the Lagos State government, is still listening to witnesses account of the Lekki massacre.
