Hundreds of Thousands Swell Myanmar Protests Against Coup {Photos}

Protests on Friday the biggest so far, and came a day after the US imposed sanctions on generals who led the coup. Anti-coup protesters in Myanmar clashed with police as hundreds of thousands joined nationwide pro-democracy demonstrations in defiance of the military government’s call to halt mass gatherings. The United Nations human rights office said more than 350 people, including officials, activists and monks, have been arrested in Myanmar since the February 1 military coup that removed Myanmar leader Aung San Suu Kyi, including some who face criminal charges on “dubious grounds”. But three people were wounded when police fired rubber bullets to break up a crowd of tens of thousands in the southeastern city of Mawlamyine, a Myanmar Red Cross official told  news agency. Unknown Gunmen Kill Scores of Policemen, Set Vehicles Ablaze in Anambra {Video}

Some men of the Anambra Police Command met with an untimely death earlier today, as unknown gunmen stormed Nkpologwu,Aguata and Omogho Orunmba North area of the state, to open fire on the policemen at different checkpoints, killing and destroying vehicles at the scene. The incident which appeared to have happened simultaneously saw the unknown gunmen attack the policemen on duty, leaving some dead while others barely escaped with thier lives. According to videos making rounds on social media from the scene of the incident, some police men where found lying in thier own pool of blood with their vehicles burnt beyond recognition. An eye witness at the Nkpologwu scene, explained that the unknown gunmen came in a jeep, parked and  opened fire at the policemen on duty, killing two of them on the spot,while about three policemen ran away. Man Arrested For Raping 96-Year-Old Woman In Lokoja

  A 30 year-old-man, Lanre Aremu, has been arrested by the Police in Kogi for allegedly raping a 96-year-old grandmother, Ige Samuel in Iyara, Ijumu Local Government Area of the state. Parading the suspect before newsmen at the state Police Command Headquarters on Wednesday in Lokoja, Mr Samuel Ojo, the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) in charge of Criminal Investigation, said the act was an abomination, ungodly and inhuman. The daughter of the victim told newsmen that the incident happened when most of the residents were in Church. She said the suspect forcefully pushed her mother into the room and raped her, adding that she was alarmed when her mother suddenly started behaving funny and speaking incoherently after the incident. One of the sons of the old woman, who is in his 60s, said the incident happened because the woman’s nanny had travelled to Ekiti. Road User Kills Policeman While Trying To Escape From LATSMA Officials {Video}

The Continuous struggle between roads users and law enforcement agencies on major roads has created more chaotic scenes than any other accidental deaths and injuries. One of such scene was recorded in a video that went viral on social media, Showing a defiant road user refusing to submit himself for arrest after being waved down by officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), alongside men of the Nigerian Police Force. Breaking: Former Governor Of Imo State, Sen. Rochas Okorocha Arrested for Vandalising State Properties {Photos}

Imo state government has arrested Ex-governor, Rochas Okorocha,for leading a group of thugs to vandalize and destroy security vehicles and properties of the state government in retaliation to the news that one of his properties have been sealed. In a video that went viral on social media, Okorocha was seen handcuffed alongside one of his accomplice while being led to the state's criminal investigation department for further interrogation. Our source gathered that the senator led  some groups of armed thugs to break into the property of the state government, destroying security vehicles and other valuables in retaliation to the sealing of his Royal spring Palm Apartment by the government. Okorocha is currently being detained at the state CID headquarters, and could be arraigned by the Imo state government with charges of vandalism. See Photos Below:

80-Years Prophetess Arrested For Pounding Children For Ritual In Onitsha {Photos/Videos}

An old self-proclaimed Prophetess who runs a ministry at Awka road, Onitsha Anambra State reportedly has been arrested for kidnapping children and pounding them for rituals. She lives at Housing estate, 3.3 Anambra State. Several children were found in her house. According to source, she pounds them too for rituals. Watch Videos Below:
